HOW I CAME TO BE

My name is Sierra. I grew up running barefoot through the forest in the Oregon Coast. I am a small town girl at heart, but with big city dreams. I grew up making art and selling it at local craft fairs. I've been a crafter my whole life. My art was ever changing. I have made many forms of art with these two hands. Ceramics, pastels, charcoal drawings, watercolors, sewing, designing, photography, writing, screen printing and multimedia art from photographs, fabric and paper. It's fascinating to think about all the forms of art I have made, and which ones I am passionate about.

THE GIRL I AM NOW

Photographer. Artist. Crafter.
Seamstress. Friend. Gluten Free Foodie. Dreamer. Freelance Photographer and aspiring blogger. I aspire to inspire.

RANDOMS

I don't have my drivers license, however I have been studying for it as of late. My right foot is bigger than my left. I have mild scoliosis (small curvature of the spine). My favorite holidays are Valentine's day and Christmas eve. I love to eat anything with lavender, rose or violet flavoring in them. My favorite are: Flavigny Pastille's Violet.

MY HOPES AND DREAMS

I hope to have my art in galleries before 2014. I hope to have my drivers license and have been on a few trips before my birthday (in November) of this year. My dream is to have the ability to travel and make a living at what I love.

THE BLOG

Welcome to House of Mabel. I'm excited to hear back from you all and hear what you think! My hope for HM is that I can inspire you to make things yourself. It's not as hard as you might think! I will also share my new projects with you - sewing, home, craft and photography.

xo, Sierra
